If you’re an instrumentalist and lover of traditional music (Irish, Scottish, French Canadian, Cape Breton, Bluegrass, Old Timey, Eastern European), here’s your chance to get together with a fun and enthusiastic group of players in an interactive workshop environment! Led by multi-instrumentalist Adrian Dolan, Trad Band is a low-pressure opportunity to learn up new repertoire, collaborate on arrangements, improve your ensemble skills, your jamming skills, and most importantly, soak up the magic of making music with others. If you have a background in Classical music, this will serve as a great launching point into folk idioms.
Which instruments? “Folk” instruments can include fiddle, mandolin, guitar, banjo, piano, flute, bass, cello, accordion, pipes — open to almost anything (drop Adrian a line if you’re not sure)!

This class is best suited to players with at least a few years experience, we should be able to accommodate and integrate a range of novice and intermediate level players. Reading music is not required.
